An experienced singing teacher, vocal/diction coach, performance instructor and performer, Katerina Tchoubar started her teaching career 15 years ago after graduating from Glen Gould Studio at the Royal Conservatory of Music, while still completing her post graduate studies in Operatic Performance from University of Toronto.

She created High “C” Studio in Mississauga area and has been teaching there ever since, developing her personal style. Katerina specializes in building a strong foundation of vocal technique for singers, who sing operatic, musical theatre and popular repertoire. She combines the best that modern day vocal approaches and the classical Italian “bel canto” singing method have to offer. Mrs. Tchoubar is a Faculty Member of Toronto’s Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as a Russian Diction Coach in University of Toronto.

Before immigrating to Canada, Mrs. Tchoubar was a founder and a member of “Ukrainochka”, a folk/pop cross-over group, producing one album and touring Ukraine, Russia, Poland and Bulgaria.(iTune’s link of the album).

In 2010, Ms. Tchoubar became a founder and a member of International opera pop group sensation – NARIA. She also produced 3 NARIA albums, in which she composed and created vocal arrangements of all NARIA songs.

At her High “C” Studio in East Mississauga, Katerina offers private singing lessons, vocal coaching, group singing lessons, performance workshops and an annual student Vocal Showcase. Mrs. Tchoubar strives to realize each student’s full vocal and artistic potential as a unique singer. Katerina guides each individual through whatever goals he/she hoping to reach: singing just for pleasure, preparing for the RCM examinations, auditioning for a Vocal program, trying to become a recording artists or developing as a professional singer.
